The challenge
Century Aluminum, one of the world's leading primary aluminium producers, needed to fully automate the anode handling process for production furnaces at its US and Icelandic facilities, with integration into the SCADA management system.
The solution
Trascar designed and installed a complete anode transport system with direct integration into the SCADA process control system. The automation covers the complete handling cycle from intake to positioning in the furnaces.
