The challenge
Manometal, a manufacturer specialising in precision mechanical machining, handled over 45 million parts per year with manual processes inside an existing commercial building. The need was to automate pallet and cassette storage and handling without new construction, while maintaining FIFO traceability and ERP integration.
The solution
Trascar installed a dual-depth stacker crane for pallets and a Cartesian gantry for cassette management inside the existing building. The proprietary WMS handles FIFO logic, coordinates inbound and outbound flows and interfaces in real time with Manometal's ERP, fully eliminating manual handling and guaranteeing complete Industry 4.0 traceability.
