The challenge
Acetum, one of the world's leading producers of Modena balsamic vinegar, needed to automate the storage and handling of thousands of pallets of maturing and finished product, guaranteeing FIFO management and integration with the production line without disrupting existing operations.
The solution
Trascar built a battery LGV system with a 120-m linear transport route, dual-depth satellite for 2,500 pallet positions and a proprietary WMS integrated directly with the Acetum production system. The satellite's combined cycle delivers 35 pallet movements/h, maximising storage density within the plant.
