The challenge
I.D.A.V. S.p.A., part of Gruppo Ambrosio in confectionery and candied fruit production, required high-density storage at −28°C with management of three temperature zones (0°C, −15°C, −28°C) for gradual product acclimatisation and condensation prevention.
The solution
Trascar installed a non-self-supporting racking system with a dual-column stacker crane featuring on-board capacitive recharging, dual-depth satellite and a custom WMS managing 3-temperature-zone logic to protect frozen product integrity throughout all handling.
