Overview
Automated depalletising, with anthropomorphic robots or gantries. A layer depalletising system uses a dedicated gripping device to lift all the products making up the layer simultaneously and transfer it onto a production or transport line, or transfer it onto an order pallet. In the intralogistics world, layer depalletising is often integrated with automatic transport systems, buffers and automated warehouses to continuously feed order-composition logistics.
Single depalletising (case depalletising or unit depalletising) is the process in which products are picked from the pallet one at a time, rather than in complete layers. It is an automatic system equipped with suitable gripping tools to pick each single package from the pallet.
